Top Gear Avanti Plus have been selling and servicing quality bikes in the eastern suburbs of Melbourne for the last 15 years. In 2007 we moved into our new home at 304 Doncaster Road, Balwyn North. The move was mainly due to the old location being too small for our ever expanding product range. We now have one of the largest workshop areas in Australia, which is fully equipped with all the latest tools from Var (French), Park Tools (USA), and Shimano.Current owners Celine and Peter Hepworth now head up an experienced team of professionals to help you with anything you may need to do with cycling. Celine (French born) has 7 Ironman finishers behind her as well as a World Duathlon age group Championship and a Road Time Trail Australian Title, so she can defiantly help with advice on endurance events. As well as a keen cyclist she is a mother of 3 children, Sebastien, Elise and Adele. Look out for her upstairs in her new fitness studio and spinning room.you can check her out at http://www.completemnb.com.au/ .Peter has been working in bike stores for 15 years, which he got into so he could support Celine with all her bike mechanics, while she raced all over the globe. Formally a national/international level track athlete Peter loves nothing more than to get out in the bush on his MTB, but also does a couple of Triathlons each season to keep in shape. He is also qualified Triathlon coach, so he is willing to answer any training queries you might have. Together, and with the help of an enthusiastic team of cycling staff members they will try and help you get the most out of your cycling experience.Our Crew
Tim Devlin
Tim heads up the mechanics at Top Gear Cycles. Tim has worked in the bike industry since leaving school. He has worked both retail and wholesale (mavic) and has a wealth of knowledge to help you with any bike issues you may have. Recently married to Virginia, Tim enjoys riding his single speed MTB to work and is a very handy triathlete. His latest venture sees him take on the world of adventure racing, and learning a new skill in kayaking.
In 2006 Tim ventured over to the USA to complete the SBCU [Specilized Bicycle Company University] training course. The knowlage he has brought back has been amazing, and you only need to talk to him about dual suspension bikes to realise his passion for the FSR linkage system.
Now a new DAD to Mikayla and Lucas.

Hobbies: Working on his new house, educating Peter about music. Eating Chocolate
Peter Hepworth
With over 15 years experience in cycling retail stores Peter heads the crew at Top Gear Cycles. He has a passion for fitness and a love of the great outdoors which he shares with his wife Celine and 3 children, Sebi, Elise and Adele. Peter has built a team of staff members that are all as passionate about riding bikes as himself. With the belief of providing good old fashion customer service with the latest range of bikes and accessories sourced from around the world.
Current bike(s): Avanti Team Cadent , Sworks Carbon Epic, Specialized Tricross.
Career highlights: Cycling up Alp de Huez this year with Celine. Wildside MTB Race in Tassie.
Hobbies: Anything that involves his kids, photography and travel.
Celine Hepworth
Celine has now retired from competitive racing [maybe some team events] but still rides regulary during the week while looking after her 3 kids Sebi Elise and Adele. Celine has just opened her own personal training studio upstairs of Topgear cycles.She can teach you some very important exercises that will help you improve your cycling. Celine traveled to Findland in 2006 to undertake the Gymstick Master Training course which she graduated in and now teaches other instructors Gymstick Pilaties from around Australia.
