Topgear Cycles is running an info session focused on “Women in Cycling”. If you are new to cycling or wanting to get into the two wheel world of bikes for fitness or commuting  come along to our FREE session at our Balwyn North store.

The session will include a discussion on the great products currently available for female cyclists. We will cover how to choose the right bike and also help you work out the right size bike to buy. For those of you who are already cycling , Topgear Cycles rider and Physiotherapist , Andrew Wynd will be able to answer any questions relating to bike fit and cycling related injuries.
We will then be running a  mechanic session. Topics will include basic bike maintenance and bike cleaning and puncture repair.

Topgear Cycles athletes had a great day out at the Geelong Triathlon last Sunday. With some rain around in the morning the conditions cleared for the “pros” to race the Sprint distance in the afternoon.
Special mention to Penny H who was the fastest female of the day in the Olympic distance race, following up from her overall win in Canberra a few weeks ago. Penny was riding a new Specialized Venge which she picked up during the week.

Specialized Bikes are running their “Test the Best ” demo days at the You Yangs this weekend. A big range of Mtb hardtails and dual suspensions and road bikes will be on offer.
When :Saturday and Sunday from 8am to 2pm
Where : Drysdale Carpark
What to bring : Helmet, drivers license , Credit card [ for ID purpose] Bring you shoes and pedals if you have them as well.

Test the best will also be at The Tour Down Under in Adelaide at the Victoria Square Bike Expo for the whole week of the event . 15th to 21st of January 2012.

If you would like to take a Specialized bike for a spin this weekend is the time!

Specialized Bikes will have a fleet of bikes to try this weekend at Mordialloc beach . You can come down between 8 am and 2pm  on Saturday and Sunday , just look out for the Red Specialized flags. You will need some ID and Credit Card and cycling shoes if you ride in them and also a helmet.Hope to see lots of you down there.
