TIM’S FUNDRAISING FOR HEARTKIDS

TIM’S FUNDRAISING FOR HEARTKIDS

My wife Virginia and I recently had our second child, a beautiful little boy Lucas Jay who was born on 2nd July.  When Virginia was 20 weeks pregnant we found out that Lucas had a heart condition called Transposition of the Great Arteries and would need open heart surgery soon after birth.  The following 4 ½ months were obviously a pretty scary time for us as we waited for Lucas to arrive.  HeartKids were a great support to us during this time.  They were there for us with much needed information, advice and support. Our story is actually a fantastic one and although Lucas did have open heart surgery when he was just 5 days old, he is now fixed, has had an amazing recovery and should not require any further surgery.  Mikayla just adores him and we are all just so thankful to have him home and healthy.  Most heart kids are not this lucky and require numerous surgeries and have ongoing issues which is why we want to do what we can to help this wonderful charity.  In Australia 6 babies are born every day with heart disease!

As most of you also know for the past few years I have been doing the Anaconda Adventure Race in Lorne and I have entered again this year.  I thought I would take the opportunity to use this race to try and raise as much money as I can for HeartKids. Please click on the below link to visit my very own fundraising page to find out all about it. And we would obviously appreciate any contribution you can make to help me reach my fundraising target.  They are a wonderful and very deserving charity.

Spread the word and send this to as many people as possible.

Thank you very much for your time and hopefully for your money too.  Go on, do it right now or you might forget!! J

With many thanks,
Tim
